Why I run

When I run I forget about problems.

The pain in my legs distracts me from the daily stresses of life.

The burn in my chest and the pounding in my heart remind me that I am alive.

When I run I am in the moment, stripped down to nothing but breath, sweat, and movement.

The world quiets down, and the noise in my head fades into the rhythm of my steps.

Running doesn’t solve everything, but it gives me the strength to face anything.
