Fabián's Journal

We never say I'm not going to do it, we say I'm gonna do it tomorrow

We rarely say, “I’m not going to do it.”

We say, “I’ll do it tomorrow.”

But that’s the biggest lie we tell ourselves.

It sounds gentle. Harmless. Responsible, even.

But it’s not. It’s fear wearing a polite face.

It’s procrastination in a costume.

The truth is—we don’t plan to do it tomorrow.

We just don’t want to admit we won’t do it at all.

We’re not brave enough to say, “I’m afraid.”

So we say, “Later.”

And we believe it, even when we know better.

“You may delay, but time will not.”
