The First Move
Chess has more possible play combinations than there are atoms in the observable universe.
That’s what it feels like sometimes—standing at the start, staring into the infinite.
The first move is overwhelming. It’s when I’m farthest from the end.
But it’s also when everything is still possible.
I’ll make mistakes.I’ll take wrong turns.
But there’s always another move—always a chance to adapt, adjust, recover.
What matters is making the move.
