On Comparison
Comparison steals my strength.
When I look at someone else’s life, it’s easy to forget my own path. Their success makes me feel behind. Their progress makes me feel small. But I don’t see the full picture. I don’t see their doubts, their mistakes, their hidden costs.
The truth is, their race is not my race. Their timeline is not mine. My life isn’t meant to be measured against anyone else’s—it’s measured against who I was yesterday.
If I waste energy on envy, I starve the energy I need for growth. Progress is personal. It’s slow, it’s messy, and it’s mine alone to claim.
“Waste no more time arguing about what a good man should be. Be one.” – Marcus Aurelius
