I Am Not That Voice
If I listened to the voice that says I’m not enough, I wouldn’t have done anything that mattered.
I would’ve stayed quiet. Played small. Hid.
But I don’t listen to that voice—not anymore.
When it shows up, I don’t argue with it. I outwork it.
I take it as a sign I’m close to something important.
That voice is a reverse indicator.
It only gets louder when I’m on the right path.
So I don’t fear it. I use it.
“If you hear a voice within you say ‘you cannot paint,’ then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced.” — Vincent van Gogh
