Earned Altitude
14,000 feet doesn’t care who I am.
It doesn’t care how tired I am, how sore I am, or what excuses I brought with me.
It just waits at the top. Cold. Quiet. Unmoving.
And today—I met it.
One step. One breath. One curse at a time.
I earned every foot with sweat and silence.
There were moments I wanted to turn back. But I didn’t.
I don’t climb because it’s easy. I climb to remember who the hell I am.
The summit didn’t give me anything. I took it.
“The summit is what drives us, but the climb itself is what matters.” — Conrad Anker
